Mental Health Student/Intern Scholarship Program – Due July 1st
George Drobinski, MS, LMHC, – co-founder of GMHC – is offering scholarships from $500- $1000 to Mental Health Graduate Students and Registered Interns. He has donated $2,500 to GMHC to use for the Mental Health Student/Intern Scholarship Program. The first round of scholarships went to Elizabeth Martin (a registered intern) and Melanie Fisher (a graduate student). The second round of scholarships will be announced at the July 22, 2019 quarterly meeting. The recipients of the scholarship will be determined by the Past President Council of Gulf Coast Mental Health Counselor Association. So please apply before July 1st
Selection Criteria:
- Must be a financial member of Gulf Coast Mental Health Counselor Association
- Must be a Graduate Student or a Registered Mental Health Intern
- Must have graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Complete Application
- Submit a 500 word essay with application using one of the following topics:
- The deciding factors for why I pursued a career in the counseling filed were
- The area(s) in the counseling field that I can make the best contributions are
- The biggest challenges that the counseling profession faces today and the solutions
Award Amount:
$500 – $1,000 – Nonrenewable
