Project Description

Reina is a graduate of Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and hold a Master’s Degree in Expressive Therapies and Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in art therapy. Her counseling style is grounded in the humanistic perspective. She believes that we all have the desire and ability to reach our full potential and that each person has their own vision of what that potential is for her or himself. She uses art and play based interventions in her practice to help her clients develop insight, awareness, and understanding about their experience and aide them in using that information to create lasting change in their lives. She specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults with autism and teens struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression. Group and individual supervision is also offered to new graduates seeking art therapy and mental health counseling credentials.
