Project Description

After earning Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in my hometown of Chicago, I accepted a position in a Sociology Ph.D. program in Miami, FL (FIU). During that time I was offered a research position and spent 3 years studying socio-behavioral change in individuals and in groups of people at the Lab for Social and Behavioral Research in the International Hurricane Center. I then decided to move back to Chicago and acquire my Counseling Master’s degree. I hold a Master of Education in Counseling, from the DePaul University, College of Education.

Additionally, I was a college professor for over 10 years guiding college students in social science courses that explain how we become who we are, why we do the things that we do, and how we change. I have spent the last 5 years teaching at DePaul University in the School for New Learning and prior to that I was a Full-Time Visiting Social Science Professor at a small college in Chicago.

I have several years of clinical experience treating people in a variety of settings. Currently I have a private practice here in Naples that I opened 3 years ago when I moved here from Chicago. My office is conveniently located near the intersection of Pine Ridge & Airport Pulling Rd. Prior to that, DePaul University’s community-based, (open to the public) counseling center, called the DePaul University, Education and Counseling Center, provided me the opportunity to develop effective evidence-based techniques. The years of counseling and psychological care that I have given includes care for; individuals, couples, families, and groups.

I am a caring, well-trained practitioner who is experienced in proven evidence-based practices. I am effective and I am here to help you.
